🎙27: Give A Cat A Crayon

This weeks episode is all about goodies and games. I talk briefly about my initial thoughts after a couple of days with an iPhone 11 Pro Max and Series 5 Apple Watch, then move onto talking about  Arcade. Yes, I know, I’ve not spoken about that too much this week have I? Give it a listen, if you can, because I have a question for you all in there also.

🎙26: The iPhone 11 Pro Max Super Hyper Mega Phone 3000

You’ve heard the best, now hear the rest … or something. This years iPhone event has been and gone so I wanted to share a few (brief) thoughts I had about the event, and what was announced over in the Steve Jobs theatre on Tuesday. I should just mention, as I do in the episode itself, that I was experimenting with a different mic setting / location so audio quality is questionable at best this week.

🎙25: The iPhone Event 2019 Preview

The Dent podcast is back … again … In this weeks episode I have a quick cyat about a few of the things that I’m expecting, and am looking forward to, with the upcoming ‘iPhone event’ to be held in the Steve Jobs theatre on the 10th September. Grab a cup of tea, have a listen and enjoy! You can find links to the show below: You can also find a direct link below.

🎙Appearance: BYOD 101

The Bring Your Own Device podcast recently hit a huge milestone, of 100 episodes, which is pretty impressive. It’s a show that’s a relatively new addition to my subscriptions, but it’s very quickly become one of my favourites. Greg and Nati’s informed, yet relaxed and humorous approach to tech podcasting really is a breath of fresh air in a pretty crowded space. Hitting their centenary is a great achievement, but it looks like things may be going downhill come episode 101 …

🎙24: Two Weeks With iOS 13

Well, it turns out I’m a thrill seeker and I’ve downloaded iOS / iPadOS / watchOS on ALL THE THINGS. Join me in this episode as I take a brief look at how the last two weeks on Apple’s latest beta software have been, along with my recommendations about whether or not you should also jump on the beta train. Choo-Choo! You can find links to the show below:

🎙️ Appearance: iPad Pros Episode 54 - iPad OS

If you think I love the iPad, wait until you get a load of the excellent Tim Chaten and his equally great iPad Pros podcast. I featured on episode 31 of Tim’s podcast, and was lucky enough to be invited back on1 to discuss my early impressions of iPadOS during the beta phase. If you’ve read any of my recent posts recently you will know I’m a big fan of it so far, and it was great fun to dig into some of the specifics of what’s changed since iOS 12.

🎙️ Appearance: The Outpost Show WWDC 2019 Special

I was kindly invited onto Daryl Baxter’s now annual (well, it’s the second one, so that counts!) WWDC round up show. The show, The Outpost Show WWDC 2019 Special is now available in the Apple Podcasts App and also in Overcast or your favourite podcast app. It’s always a pleasure to chat with Daryl, and this episode was no exception. We mainly focus on iPadOS, as you’d imagine, but we also touch on WatchOS 6 and even the Mac Pro.

🎙 23: A Look Ahead To iOS 13

In this this episode of The Dent podcast, I’m finally back at it, as I take a look at what we can expect from iOS 13, courtesy of a fascinating insight from the great Mark Gurman in a newBloomberg report. You can find links to the show below: You can also find a direct link below

🎙 22: Does Apple Have a Hive Mind?

In this weeks podcast I had to vent a little of my aggravation about the recent news about the FaceTime bug on iOS and why I think those reporting on this need to put things into perspective a little. Some of the more click-bait heavy publications had a field day with the news, as you’d expect, but even some of the (usually) more level headed podcasts I enjoy have taken some very odd stances on this particular ‘issue’.

🎙 21: Getting My Game Face On!

So far, 2019 is shaping up to be the year of gaming here at Dent Towers. Join me on this weeks podcast while I take you through some gaming aspirations for the coming months. I briefly discuss the new Dent Gaming channel, where you can find me on an occasional stream and clearing out my Switch backlog. As I mention on the show this week, I’m considering adding a bit more Gaming related reviews, news, stories, and thoughts onto The Dent.

🎙 20: A (Delayed) Look Ahead To 2019

This week I finally get around to sharing a few of the things I’m looking forward to seeing in 2019 and also take a look at some of my favourite blogs, podcasts and content creators I’m looking forward to watching continue to grow and put out some really interesting content over the coming weeks and months. 2018 was an interesting year, and I’m looking forward to what 2019 will bring.

🎙 Appearance: And You Are? #3

Greg Morris, of Bring Your Own Device Podcast fame, recently launched a new interview podcast called And You Are?. The first two episodes featured two extremely fascinating guys, writer and podcaster Daryl Baxter and author Matt Gemmell. If you haven’t already, I recommend you stop reading right now and get caught up with these. I really enjoyed listening to both recently. While the first two episodes were extremely enjoyable, things take an interesting turn with episode 3, at least for me, because Greg very kindly invited me on as his guest.

🎙 19: Are You Positive?

After a bit of a break for the festive period (apologies!) I’m back and ready to kick-start 2019 as I mean to go on, with some positivity! I share a quick look ahead at what to expect from The Dent in 2019 and beyond. Leave your negativity at the door, please. You can find links to the show below: You can also find a direct link below.

🎙️ Farewell Pocket Sized Podcast

The latest episode of Pocket Sized Podcast is now available from your favourite podcast player. Episode 200, sadly, marks the end of the Pocket Sized Podcast. I joined Scott as his new co-host from episode 191 and recorded about 8 episodes, so I'm sad to see the show end so soon into my stint. I like to think that me joining wasn't the final nail in the coffin but ... it may well have been!

🎙 18: Share Your Gifts

In this weeks episode, I join Apple in a plea: share your gifts. If you haven’t seen Apple’s fantastic 2018 Christmas ad, you can see it here: www.youtube.com/watch You can find links to the show below: You can also find a direct link below.

🎙 17: Getting Things Done on the iPad

In this weeks episode, I follow up from my iPad Pro review with a short discussion about some of the things you can do on an iPad. We’ve all heard more than enough about what you can’t do … If you want to hear a bit more about Ferrite check out Pocket Sized Podcast episode 196. You can find links to the show below: You can also find a direct link below.

🎙 16: The Best Gets Better

On the podcast this week I share some thoughts on the 2018 iPad Pro after a few days of use. If you want to read some more in-depth thoughts on this check out this earlier post. You can find links to the show below: You can also find a direct link below.

🎙 15: Shut Up And Take My Money

On the podcast this week I share some (slightly delayed) thoughts on Apple’s iPad focused event held in New York City on the 30th October 2018. We saw some not so mini Mac Mini’s, some not so light as air MacBook Air’s and some iPad’s that require a small mortgage to max out. if you want to read some more in-depth thoughts on thischeck out this earlier post. You can find links to the show below:

🎙️ The Outpost Show 30 - iPad Special Event

I mentioned on Twitter, a few days ago, that everyone will get bored of my voice this week and now you know why! I posted a few minutes ago about this weeks Pocket Sized Podcast and, following hot on the heels of this release another show that I’ve featured on, The Outpost Show episode 30, has just been released as well! Daryl was kind enough to invite me on this show with Dave Nott, Chris Lawley and Daryl himself to discuss the iPad Pro event that Apple held yesterday in New York City.

🎙️ Pocket Sized Podcast 198

The latest episode of Pocket Sized Podcast is now available from your favourite podcast player. This week, Scott and I started down the long road of Writing / Note taking apps. For this first episode, we dug into some initial use cases and types of writing we do. Scott shames me into journaling more with a fantastic use case and I stumble awkwardly over sharing some political views. It’s dangerous ground people, and it gets deep!

🎙 14: Apple Takes Manhattan

In this week’s episode I look ahead to Apple’s (hopefully) iPad Pro focused event taking place on the 30th October in New York City. You can find links to the show below: You can also find a direct link below.

🎙 Pocket Sized Podcast 197

The latest episode of Pocket Sized Podcast is now available from your favourite podcast player. This week, Scott and I discuss the upcoming Apple event in New York, share some further thoughts on Ferrite for iOS, dodge a few bullets from some local idiots and start digging into some note taking apps. All this whilst huddled under a blanket. Now that’s professionalism for you …

🎙 13: Making A Dent

It’s back, and better than ever! * This weeks episode features Phones, Slates, Homes, Switches … you name it, we’ve got it (as long as what you name is Phones, Slates, Homes or Switches …) Actual quality may not differ from the old version of this podcast. You can find links to the show below: You can also find a direct link below.

🎙️ 12: Making A Good First Impression

The best 3 star podcast is back … this week I share a few first impressions of the new Apple Watch Series 4 and the awfully named iPhone XS Max. For the first time over, I’ve finally got this episode in under the self imposed 10 minute maximum length. You can find links to the show below: You can also find a direct link below.

🎙️ 11: Shortcuts, Watches, and Switch Oh My

In this weeks episode I discuss what new Apple toys I’ve ordered, my current addiction (Shortcuts on iOS!) and I even squeeze in the hottest of hot takes on Nintendo’s new Online service for the Switch. You can find links to the show below: You can also find a direct link below.
