I think I need to fire up my dusty old Mac Mini this weekend to finish importing my Instagram archive over to my personal photos page.
I’ve all but abandoned Instagram from a posting perspective now and post the few new things I take to my micro.blog page, which I plan to do moving forward. It’s still unclear just how easy it would be to move my content elsewhere should micro.blog cease to be a thing, but I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it I guess.
Instagram is the domain of the influencer now, so I get nothing from it from a posting / user perspective. My main goal is to curate and hold onto the things I make, be it text, photos or audio content. I won’t delete my Instagram account, for now, but will get my stuff off there. While the vast majority my photos on there are no good, it does provide an interesting look at how iPhone camera systems have improved over the years.
